Atlas notes

Cronos sells the L6005 the way most of the current homage market does: no pretense about the case shape, just 316L steel, a ceramic bezel insert and AR-coated sapphire, undercutting the watch it is shaped after by a factor of thirty or more. It is one of a crowded field of Chinese microbrand Submariner homages, and it earns a look mostly by publishing a straight spec sheet where several rivals go vague.

The case runs 40mm without the crown, 13.5mm thick, 47.8mm lug to lug, on 20mm lugs. That is close enough to the Steeldive SD1953 two entries over that you could not tell them apart on a wrist. Water resistance is rated 200m at 20 ATM, the crown and case back both screw down, and the lume is BGW9 in blue rather than the cheaper C3 green most brands default to. Cronos currently prices the L6005 at $219 to $239 across its own storefront listings, down from a $345 list.

Here is where the sheet goes quiet. The PT5000 automatic inside is a real caliber with a real name, but Cronos states nothing about its power reserve or accuracy, the same omission that dents the San Martin SN0121GA on this site. Worse, the bracelet gets one sentence: “the clasp has been updated.” No link style, no taper, no clasp type, on a watch whose whole pitch is a steel bracelet diver. I would want that answered before I paid for one.

Judged against its own crowded category, the L6005 is competent rather than remarkable. The Steeldive SD1953 undercuts it by $70 to $100 and actually publishes a power reserve. The San Martin costs more but tapers its bracelet and names its clasp. If genuine dive certification and a company that answers a warranty email matter to you, the Citizen NY0086 is the safer buy a tier up. If you already know what a $229 Chinese homage is and just want the case done well, this one does that much honestly.
