SN0055-G
the diver that lets you pick your own movement
San Martin's SN0055-G packs a 42mm 316L case, AR-coated sapphire and a pick of three movements, yet ships on leather with no bracelet option.

San Martin will sell you the same case three ways: a generic PT5000 automatic, the Chinese-made ST2130, or a genuine Swiss Sellita SW200, all under one reference and one price ladder. That is an unusual amount of honesty about movement tiers for a brand in this bracket, where most homage makers just fit whatever clone is cheapest that quarter and print one caliber name on the page.
The case itself is a 42mm slab of 316L steel, 44mm across the lugs, 13mm thick, with a domed sapphire crystal under Swiss AR coating and a 120-click steel bezel. Water resistance is rated to 200 meters, backed by a screwed crown and case back, which is the correct hardware for that number even if San Martin does not put it through third-party ISO 6425 certification. The gray sunray dial and BGW-9 lume are shared with the rest of San Martin’s sports line, nothing new there, but nothing wrong with it either.
What the spec sheet will not tell you: no power reserve for any of the three movement options, and no bracelet. This ships on a leather strap, full stop, with the buckle in 316L steel and nothing in stainless on the accessories list. On a $445 top-tier SW200 build, a steel bracelet option feels like the thing that got cut to hit that number, and I think that is the real weak point here, more than the unpublished power reserve San Martin shares with most of its catalog.
Against its own sibling, the SN0121GA, the case for this one is weaker rather than stronger: that watch runs cheaper, ships on a fly-adjust steel bracelet, and rates to 300 meters on a ceramic bezel. The case for the SN0055-G is narrower and specific: you want the option of a real Sellita movement under a San Martin case without shopping a different brand entirely. If that is not the thing you are buying for, the bracelet-equipped sibling is the better use of the money.
