Atlas notes

The Twelve is the first integrated-steel watch in years that answers the Tissot PRX on details instead of on price, and there is no wait-list attached to it.

The case is the headline. 9.95mm through, at the same 40mm diameter as the benchmark, which puts it close to a full millimetre thinner. In this genre a millimetre is not a spec-sheet abstraction; it is the difference you feel when a shirt cuff goes over the top of it. The clasp then adds toolless three-position micro-adjust, precisely the feature the Tissot lacks, and the dial finishing sits a tier above anything the Tissot attempts.

What you are buying is the last ten percent. The SW200-1 is a good Swiss workhorse running at 28,800vph, but it banks 38 hours against the Powermatic’s 80, and the street price is roughly double. Sapphire, 100m, integrated bracelet, no standard lug width.

That is a knowing trade rather than a mistake, and the score reflects both halves of it honestly. If you would not notice the millimetre, buy the Tissot and spend the difference on straps that fit neither watch.
